Tailwheel Training Overview
Enhance your flying skills with our comprehensive Tailwheel Training. Gain the confidence and abilities to handle tailwheel aircraft well beyond today's standard. Flying a tailwheel airplane demands advanced stick and rudder skills — particularly during takeoffs and landings. By learning to handle the inherent instability of a taildragger, you develop a heightened sense of directional control and situational awareness that translates directly to safer, more precise flying in any airframe.

You Don't Have to Fly Tailwheel to Benefit
Even if your primary airplane has tricycle gear, tailwheel training is one of the most effective ways to raise the ceiling on your overall flying ability. Pilots who complete tailwheel training report smoother, more consistent landings in every airplane they fly afterward. Whether you're looking to add a new endorsement, fly tailwheel airplanes regularly, or simply become a better stick-and-rudder pilot, time in a tailwheel airplane pays dividends far beyond the endorsement itself.
Our endorsement program goes beyond the minimum FAA requirements. We immerse you in crosswind techniques, short-field operations, and emergency procedures that build deep muscle memory. Choosing Benz Aviation means training with experts who live and breathe tailwheel flying, ensuring you leave not just with an endorsement, but with the confidence to master the sky on your terms.
