Minimizing Loss Of Control - Inflight (LOC-I) is a top priority of both the FAA and Benz Aviation because it is the number 1 cause of fatalities in airplanes. Our Upset Prevention and Recovery Training(UPRT) equips you with the skills to handle any recoverable Loss Of Control - Inflight (LOC-I) scenario. The majority of the LOC-I accidents can likely be attributed to poor skills in stall/spin awareness, stall/spin prevention/recovery, all attitude recovery, and poor decision making abilities. One of best solutions to this is proper training. The structure of our UPRT courses at Benz Aviation follow a proven model for undeniable improvement in pilot skills. Along with strengthening your skills, UPRT is an excellent way to build your confidence as a pilot as you see your abilities reach the next level. All UPRT, aerobatic, and tailwheel courses at Benz Aviation are done in our Super Decathlon. UPRT Basic course: This course is great for a pilot of any skill level who wants to learn about the fundamentals of UPRT. It includes a comprehensive ground school lecture and 3 flights with pre and post flight instruction, this course typically takes 2 days to complete. This course will give the pilot in training a strong understanding of the recovery skills needed and prepare the pilot in training for upset prevention and recoveries at all attitudes but it has been found that 4 or more flights are needed to truly learn and retain the totality of the skills taught. Additionally, an advanced understanding of aerodynamics will be taught throughout the training as well as proper energy management using an expanded flight envelope during training. Overall, the pilot in training will learn how to prevent, recover, and reduce the likelihood of upsets. UPRT Advanced Course: This is a great course for pilots of any skill level that are determined to build their skills , it includes comprehensive ground and 5 flights pre and post flight instruction.
